DMK leader of opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin sharpened his criticism of the TVK government, using the Coimbatore 10-year-old girl's murder case as a focal point.
Udhayanidhi argued that the case demonstrates that CM Vijay's flagship Singa Pen Sirappu Athiradi Padai — the all-women police force announced for women's safety — had not been deployed effectively enough on the ground.
He demanded that the TVK government provide regular public updates on the Singa Pen force's deployment strength, coverage, and effectiveness across all 38 districts.
Udhayanidhi accused the government of "governance by press release" rather than actual field action in implementing women's safety measures.
He called on CM Vijay to personally visit the victim's family and issue a public timeline for justice in the case, rather than relying solely on ministerial visits.
