Transport Minister A. Vijay Tamilan Parthiban made an unannounced inspection visit to the Kilambakkam Bus Terminus on Friday, to personally review the facilities and assess the progress of pending infrastructure improvements.
Within minutes of his arrival, hundreds of passengers surrounded him, raising complaints about bus frequency, waiting area conditions, connectivity to the Kilambakkam Metro, and cleanliness.
The minister stayed on for over an hour, listening to complaints, taking notes, and directing officials on the spot to address priority issues.
The visit was widely appreciated as a sign of the TVK government's grassroots governance approach, consistent with CM Vijay's directive for ministers to make unannounced field visits.
