New TVK ministers take formal charge of portfolios on Saturday — Vanni Arasu, Shahjahan begin work; Marie Wilson reviews fiscal position

Following the latest expansion, newly inducted ministers formally assumed charge of their respective secretariat offices on Saturday, meeting departmental officials and reviewing key pending files.
Vijay's Cabinet now has 35 ministers including the VCK and IUML representatives inducted on May 22. With the VCK's Vanni Arasu taking charge of the newly created Social Justice Ministry and IUML's A.M. Shahjahan formally assuming the Minorities Welfare and Wakf Board portfolio, all ministerial positions are now filled except for one remaining vacancy.
Finance Minister N. Marie Wilson, in particular, began a detailed review of Tamil Nadu's fiscal position and outstanding payments to the Centre.
Chief Minister Vijay also tweaked several responsibilities that had been assigned during the initial swearing-in, consolidating portfolio groupings for administrative efficiency.
