Karaikudi — the cultural capital of the Chettinad region — anchored the central-Tamil Nadu push. The address was structured around two of the manifesto's ten focus chapters: MSMEs and weavers.
Vijay restated commitments to the Karur home-textile cluster, the silk handloom networks of Sivaganga, and a weaver pension at par with the agricultural-labour scheme. A portable identity card, valid across districts, was framed as the operational shift that distinguishes the 2026 commitment from previous government promises.
The Sivaganga district executive committee shared the dais; the rally was followed by a closed strategy session with booth-level coordinators.
