The Vikravandi General Council formalised the twelve ideological pillars that anchor TVK's political identity. Resolutions were carried unanimously after deliberations spanning two sessions.
The pillars draw from Periyar, Kamarajar, Ambedkar, Velunachiyar and Anjalai Ammal — a deliberately bilingual lineage spanning the Self-Respect movement, the Dravidian governance tradition, the constitutional framework, and the women-led resistance heritage of pre-Independence Tamil Nadu.
Vikravandi was chosen for its symbolic location: the meeting ground of the historic Self-Respect conferences, on the Pondicherry-Chennai corridor.
