DMK president M.K. Stalin held consultations with the party's organisational restructuring panel at Anna Arivalayam on July 22, shortly after returning from a 16-day visit to London.
The 10-member panel, which includes senior leaders such as Thangam Thennarasu, Geetha Jeevan, Chakrapani and S.S. Sivasankar, briefed Stalin on consultations it had held with party functionaries across the state.
The committee has engaged with leaders of the party's various wings and grassroots-level office-bearers, and has also reviewed inputs gathered by district-level consultative committees, ahead of submitting its final report in early August.
The exercise is expected to recommend a broad overhaul of the DMK's organisational framework, including changes to district units and internal wings, along with steps to strengthen cadre mobilisation, as the party works to rebuild after ceding power to TVK in the 2026 Assembly election.
