CM Vijay's complete 35-member council of ministers — all portfolios allocated after two-phase expansion

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay allotted portfolios to the 23 newly inducted ministers of his Cabinet. Congress legislators S. Rajesh Kumar and P. Viswanathan have been allocated Tourism and Higher Education portfolios respectively.
K.A. Sengottaiyan, who held Finance, has now been allocated Revenue and Disaster Management. TVK's N. Marie Wilson has been named Minister for Finance, Planning and Development. TVK's Mohamed Farvas has been given Labour Welfare and Skill Development.
CM Vijay revised some portfolios and re-allocated the Women Welfare portfolio he held to newly inducted minister K. Jegadeshwari.
For the first time in Tamil Nadu's 74-year political history, four women have been inducted into the Cabinet. During the 2011–2016 AIADMK government led by J. Jayalalithaa, three women served as ministers. Three more women were included in the expansion: S. Kamali from Avinashi, C. Vijayalakshmi from Kumarapalayam, and K. Jegadeshwari from Rajapalayam.
In total, 21 TVK MLAs along with two Congress legislators were inducted into the cabinet. Seven members from Scheduled Caste communities have been given representation. The expansion takes the total strength of the ministry to 33, with two cabinet positions still vacant.
