TVK introduced its full slate of 234 assembly candidates at a closed-press gathering in Nungambakkam, Chennai. The slate composition reflects the party's declared commitment to first-time entrants — over 60% of candidates are new to electoral contesting.
Demographic balance: representation across SC, ST, OBC and women candidates exceeds 40% combined; eight constituencies have been ringfenced for SC/ST nominees per the party's internal social-justice charter.
Each candidate's biographical profile and constituency commitments will be published on the TVK candidate portal in both Tamil and English ahead of the campaign launch.
