Education Revolution
Free higher education for farmers' children, interest-free loans up to ₹20 lakh, 500 creative residential schools, and on-time exams.
Free Higher Education for Farmers' Children
TVK's education revolution rests on a single conviction: where a child is born must never determine what a child can become. The first guarantee is free higher education for children of farmers owning fewer than 2 acres — covering tuition fees, hostel charges, and examination fees at all government and government-aided colleges and universities. This removes the single greatest barrier that has historically forced rural students to choose a farm over a degree, not because they lacked the aptitude but because the family lacked the funds.
₹20 Lakh Interest-Free, Collateral-Free Education Loans
The collateral-free, interest-free education loan scheme covers Class XII through PhD at an upper limit of ₹20 lakh, with the state government acting as guarantor. No student in Tamil Nadu will be denied higher education because their parents cannot provide a guarantor or pledge an asset. The 0% interest applies for the entire duration of study and a grace period beyond, so the first EMI begins only after the student begins earning — not while they are still in a classroom.
100 Kamarajar Special Residential Schools
One hundred Kamarajar Special Residential Schools will be established in rural blocks across the state, providing world-class boarding education to students identified through a transparent merit and need assessment. Named after the Chief Minister who built Tamil Nadu's public education architecture, these schools bring laboratory infrastructure, digital learning tools, and trained specialist teachers to gifted rural students who would otherwise never encounter them. The first batch of schools targets blocks with the highest dropout and lowest college-enrollment rates.
10% Horizontal Reservation & AI-Powered Exam Coaching
A 10% horizontal reservation is instituted for government school students in all professional courses — Medicine, Engineering, and Law — recognising that the structural disadvantage of government-school students in competitive admissions cannot be corrected by merit alone when the playing field remains uneven. This is implemented alongside free AI-powered competitive exam coaching centres, ensuring that the reservation is accompanied by the preparation support needed to fully utilise it.
Kamarajar Kalvi Urudhi & Recruitment Accountability Act
The Kamarajar Kalvi Urudhi Thittam delivers ₹15,000 per year to the mother or guardian of every student in Classes 1 through 12. The Recruitment Accountability Act mandates that every government vacancy notification is followed by a completed recruitment process within 365 days — ending the multi-year recruitment backlogs that have cost entire graduating cohorts their window of eligibility. Timely conduct of all government examinations, with advance calendars published annually, completes TVK's commitment that educational opportunity will not be squandered by administrative delay.
