CM Vijay's first two weeks in office — 200-unit free power, anti-drug task forces, ₹1,000 scheme credited, 35-member cabinet built
Within 13 days of taking oath on May 10, CM Vijay has delivered on multiple manifesto commitments across welfare, law enforcement, education, and coalition governance.

Soon after taking oath as Chief Minister, C. Joseph Vijay signed the first set of government orders linked to major promises made during the Assembly election campaign. The three initiatives include expanding the state's free electricity scheme to 200 units, launching a new all-women security force called "Singapen Sirappu Athiradi Padai", and setting up dedicated anti-drug task forces across all districts.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay ordered the formation of 65 anti-narcotic task force units across the state to intensify action against drug-related crimes. A special women's safety force named 'Singa Pen Sirappu Athiradi Padai' was established to ensure faster action on complaints related to women's safety, with a large number of women police personnel given special powers to take tough action against offenders.
Within his first 13 days, Vijay has also: credited the Rs 1,000 women's scheme May installment, announced a 2% DA hike for 16 lakh government employees, ordered closure of 717 TASMAC outlets near sensitive areas, launched 40 new government vehicles, released 9 new school textbooks for Classes 1–3, written to PM Modi on fertilizer shortage and fishermen in Sri Lankan custody, and built a 35-minister full coalition cabinet.
