CM Vijay Levels Corruption Charges Against DMK in Assembly Reply; DMK Walks Out
Replying to the debate on law and order in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on September 7, Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay accused the DMK of decades of organised corruption, citing the Sarkaria Commission report, the Veeranam issue and documents he linked to Enforcement Directorate inquiries into the municipal administration department and TASMAC. DMK members protested near the Speaker's podium and walked out, and Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin said afterwards that the allegations were made without proof and that the Chief Minister had avoided questions on law and order.
