In a powerful debut address to the House, Chief Minister Vijay set a tone of radical equality and humility. Opening his speech with a poignant quote from Abraham Lincoln, he reminded the legislators that "this House belongs to the people, and here, everyone is equal."
Moving away from traditional partisan rhetoric, Vijay extended an olive branch to the opposition, calling for a "collaborative governance model" to rescue Tamil Nadu from its current fiscal challenges.
He pledged that his administration would prioritize meritocracy over political lineage, promising a "transparent and tech-driven" Secretariat as the cornerstone of a new era of governance.
