Though CM Vijay did not attend in person, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's office conveyed warm congratulations to Satheesan on his historic assumption of office, reaffirming the strong ties between the TVK government and the Congress-UDF alliance that had been instrumental in helping both parties come to power.
