TVK Minister Sengottaiyan Says 10 More AIADMK MLAs Ready to Defect, Predicts AIADMK 'Will Become Zero'
Speaking at a TVK public meeting in Gobichettipalayam marking the government's 100-day milestone, Tamil Nadu Revenue Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan said on August 24 that ten more AIADMK MLAs are preparing to join the ruling TVK, and predicted the rest of the party's legislators would follow within six months.

Tamil Nadu Revenue Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan, addressing a TVK public meeting in Gobichettipalayam in Erode district organised to highlight the government's 100-day achievements, said on August 24 that ten more AIADMK MLAs are preparing to switch to the ruling TVK.
Sengottaiyan said the AIADMK currently has only 47 MLAs remaining, of whom another ten are set to join TVK, and predicted that the rest of the party's legislators would move to TVK within six months, after which, in his words, "AIADMK will become zero."
He did not name the MLAs he claimed were preparing to switch sides, nor did he give a specific timeline for when the fresh round of defections would take place.
