The long-pending transport connectivity project at Kilambakkam is finally nearing completion, offering a key transport integration hub for southern Chennai. Authorities noted that earlier delays in the project were due to election-related restrictions, traffic diversion approvals, and construction challenges along the high-traffic GST Road stretch. The revised deadline is now set for the end of June.
Commuters are eagerly awaiting the launch of what is expected to become one of Chennai's most important transport integration hubs. In a parallel development, Chennai Egmore Railway Station has unveiled a new multi-level parking facility, adding to the station's ongoing modernisation. Both projects reflect the TVK government's continued commitment to urban infrastructure.
