Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is confirmed to attend the NITI Aayog meeting of Chief Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on June 11 in New Delhi.
Sources indicate that CM Vijay is expected to hold more detailed discussions with PM Modi during the meeting — building on his earlier Delhi visit in the first week of his tenure.
Congress MP Christopher Tilak told reporters that the CM's earlier scheduled meeting with Rahul Gandhi had only been deferred, not cancelled: "The Chief Minister is likely to come to Delhi around June 11 for the NITI Aayog meeting, and I think he would meet our leaders Rahul and Sonia Gandhi then."
The June 11 Delhi visit will be a politically significant outing for CM Vijay — combining his first formal engagement at the NITI Aayog with a potential meeting with Congress's top leadership, cementing the TVK-Congress alliance at the national level.
