Chief Minister Vijay today addressed the media following his meeting with former Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin at Alwarpet. Describing the meeting as "a courtesy call in the spirit of democratic tradition," CM Vijay expressed respect for Stalin's contributions to the state's infrastructure over the past decade.
CM Vijay formally requested the opposition's cooperation for the government's upcoming "State Debt Resolution" bill, which seeks to chart a transparent path toward managing Tamil Nadu's ₹10 lakh crore fiscal burden.
Images of both leaders exchanging silk shawls have gone viral on social media, widely interpreted as a signal of a more cooperative and less confrontational political culture under the new government.
