CM Vijay Appoints 2,144 Health Staff, Launches 'Nalam TN' Portal in Chennai
Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay distributed appointment orders to 2,144 Assistant Medical Officers and Health Inspectors, launched the 'Nalam TN' fundraising portal for government hospitals, and inaugurated Rs 139.47 crore worth of medical infrastructure in Chennai on July 14.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on July 14 distributed appointment orders to 2,144 healthcare professionals at a function held at the State College Auditorium in Chennai, organised by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
The appointees include 751 Assistant Medical Officers and 1,393 Health Inspectors, who will be posted to government healthcare institutions across the state to fill vacancies and strengthen public health delivery.
At the same event, Vijay launched the "Nalam TN" portal, an initiative to mobilise corporate and philanthropic funding for government hospitals, and inaugurated medical infrastructure and advanced equipment worth an estimated Rs 139.47 crore.
The Chief Minister said the appointments and new facilities were aimed at improving access to medical and preventive health services for people across Tamil Nadu.
