CM Vijay's first official visit to Tiruchirapalli since assuming office is being planned, with the administration putting in place special arrangements and heavy security, according to Thanthi TV's live feed on Saturday.
The visit is expected to include official engagements with district-level officials and review of key infrastructure and development projects in the Trichy region.
A limited number of officials and invitees will be allowed in, with public entry restricted for security reasons.
Trichy holds special significance for CM Vijay — he had won the Trichy East constituency in the 2026 Assembly elections while also winning Perambur, making it a priority constituency for the CM.
