Following CM Vijay's condolence message on X on May 30, his office on Sunday sent a formal written condolence letter to Ajith Kumar's Palavakkam residence in Chennai ahead of the funeral proceedings.
The final rites of Mohini Mani (85), mother of actor Ajith Kumar, were conducted as a private, family affair at his Palavakkam residence.
The TVK government directed that all state protocol be observed in marking the passing of a senior citizen from Tamil Nadu's film fraternity family.
DMK president MK Stalin and AIADMK general secretary EPS also sent formal condolence messages following the news of Mohini Mani's passing on May 30.
