Aparna Vinod learns Tamil on the sets of Vijay film
Actress Aparna Vinod, who is elated about being part of ‘Vijay 60‘, is back home after the first schedule of the shoot.
When asked if she could shoot alongside the Tamil star or meet him, she says, “Unfortunately, we did not have any combination scenes. It was more like when I was shooting, he was not present on the sets and the other way round.”
The Kohinoor actress though adds that she shares the screen space with the Kollywood audiences’ heartthrob Keerthy Suresh. She says, “Keerthy and I play college girls in the movie. Vijayaraghavan sir and Seema G Nair act as my parents. I was initially apprehensive about working in a Tamil film. But shooting scenes with them made it seem like I am working for a Mollywood film (laughs), as we used to converse with each other in Malayalam on sets.”
Ask her if she found it tough delivering dialogues in Tamil, and she says, “My character is that of a Malayali girl in the film, and I was told that I could keep my accent as such.”
Aparna says her love for Tamil had her taking efforts to learn the language. “After a point, I got so well-versed in Tamil that speaking in Malayalam took me more takes (laughs)! I was so comfortable with the language that it almost felt like my mother tongue,” she concludes.
