‘Thalapathy 62’ shooting underway despite industry shutdown?
The latest buzz about actor Vijay’s upcoming film directed by AR Murugadoss is that the film’s shooting is happening at Victoria Hall in Chennai today. This has come in a shock for some of the filmmakers due to that fact that the entire Tamil film industry is shutdown since March 16th as the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has banned any shooting and film related work to be executed.
J Sathish Kumar of JSK Film Corporation has raised questions on the unity in the film industry, questioned the TFPC decision to give special permission and has also objected to it.
Actor #Vijay ‘s shooting is happening now at Victoria Hall. Where is our unity? How can our council give spl permission? I strongly oppose this decision. Don’t split up.
While there are reports that the filmmakers have obtained special permission from the TFPC, some feel this isn’t to give permission for a big film to go ahead with the shooting during the industry shutdown.
It is to be noted that no new Tamil films have released sionce March 1st and the entire industry have stopped working on their films as well since March 16th.
Meanwhile, the yet-to-be titled film called as Thalapathy 62, is slated to hit the screens for Diwali this year. This is thrid film by Vijay and AR Murugaodss after their successful Thuppakki and Kaththi. Keerthy Suresh has been paired opposite Vijay with music director A.R. Rahman composing the music.
